Oscar Bean Donation Drive: A Community Event with Heart

When compassion meets community, amazing things happen — and that’s exactly what the Oscar Bean Donation Drive sets out to prove. On Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, local animal lovers will gather at Meraki Hair & Body (9010 West Sahara Avenue) for an afternoon dedicated to supporting Las Vegas rescue organizations that make a real difference.

Now in its annual return, the Oscar Bean Donation Drive blends the best of giving back and getting together. Hosted by Meraki Hair & Body in collaboration with JMK Beauty, the event brings together neighbors, pet lovers, and local businesses for a few joyful hours of generosity, good company, and community spirit.

What to Expect

Guests can enjoy a lively afternoon complete with local vendors, raffle prizes, and light bites and refreshments. Donations of all kinds — monetary or in-kind — will be gratefully accepted. Items like dog treats, towels, blankets, and toys will go directly toward helping Las Vegas dogs and cats in need.

This year’s beneficiaries are two organizations close to the community’s heart:

• Vegas Roots Rescue, a foster-based rescue known for giving second chances to dogs who’ve been overlooked or left behind. Their work focuses on rehabilitation, responsible adoption, and building a compassionate network of fosters across Southern Nevada.
• The Animal Foundation, Nevada’s largest open-admission animal shelter, which provides lifesaving care, adoptions, and community support programs to keep pets with their families.

While the event centers on giving, it’s also a celebration — a chance to connect with others who share a love for animals and kindness.
